イヤリングとピアスの着用がニッケルアレルギーを誘発

私たちはニッケルアレルギーを持って生まれてきているわけではありません。ニッケルアレルギーは、ジュエリー、時計、ファスナー、ボタン、 コインなどニッケルが含まれているものを使い続けた結果としてできる皮膚接触アレルギーです。

臨床実験では、その影響を受けた女性は10%~30%程度で、ピアスとイヤリングの着用が、ニッケルアレルギーを誘発する主な危険因子となっています。

もしニッケルアレルギーになった場合、アレルギーを治す有効な治療方法はありません。 唯一の対応策は、ニッケルを含む金属との接触を避けることです。  しかし、全ての金属にはニッケルが含まれています。 金と銀であってもニッケルが含まれています。つまり、ニッケルが全く含んでいない金属のピアスやイヤリングはありません。

感染症とピアス

ピアスを介する感染症のタイプは2つあります。

<細菌感染>

細菌は、滅菌していないピアスや手に存在しており、洗っていない手でピアスに触れた場合には、その細菌に感染するリスクがあります。細菌感染症は抗生物質で治療することができます。

<ウイルス感染>

B型肝炎やHIVなどの血液ウイルスは、従来のピアス用穴あけ器によって感染する可能性もあります。そのピアス用穴あけ器は直接肌に接触しますので、多くの人に使用されている場合、その可能性が高くなります。器具を70%のアルコールで洗浄した場合でも、ウイルスは一週間以上存在し、それは目に見えません。
